Iraq’s Nujaba Lauds Iran for Thwarting US Act of Piracy
Nasr al-Shammari in a tweet called on Muslim countries in the region to follow the example of the Islamic Republic’s courageous behavior, according to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-Nujaba in Iran.
He emphasized that the recapture of the Iranian oil tanker from American thieves demonstrated the dignity of Islam and Muslims.
Al-Shammari praised the authority of the Islamic Republic and emphasized, “This courageous approach is a good way to curb American aggression; Barbarism that threatens international norms and is a disrespect to the sovereignty of the countries of the region.”
In conclusion, he called on all the free people of the world, especially the Muslim countries of the region, to put similar methods of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the agenda in case of any foreign force encroaches on the sovereignty and independence of their country.
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday released footage of its confrontation last month against a US act of piracy targeting an Iranian fuel shipment. The incident took place on October 25.
During the episode, American forces confiscated the tanker that was carrying a cargo of Iranian oil in the strategic Sea of Oman, transferring its consignment of crude to another vessel.
The IRGC then staged a maritime operation against the second vessel, landing its helicopters on its deck and navigating the ship towards Iranian waters.
Afterwards, the US forces chased the oil tanker with several helicopters and warships, but their attempt ended in failure after the IRGC’s decisive and firm action.
The American forces once again tried to block the oil tanker’s path with more forces and additional warships, but their attempt ended in failure again.
The oil tanker is in Iran’s territorial waters at present.
